Bird Traps and Baits

Multi Catch Sparrow Trap is easy to use as it comes ready to position, no setting necessary. This trap has 2 entry points and a release door. There are no moving parts to worry about. You should observe the flight path of the sparrows to make sure that the trap is placed where the birds are flying and gathering. Set it in these commonly approached areas and bait it with seed or breadcrumbs. We suggest using millet as an attractant. You can also place a small bowl with water, which will also be attractive to

the birds. You need some patience as it could take time for the birds to find the seed and enter the trap. Once you start trapping birds, leave any nesting or other items brought in by the birds as this too will attract others. 16”L x 12”W x 8”H.

Wooden Sparrow Trap Birdhouse is the perfect tool for control of pesky sparrows, whether they are in an enclosed space, robbing your bird feeder, or invading bluebird boxes. It looks like any other birdhouse but conceals a hidden trap! Inside is a spring-loaded door that snaps shut when a sparrow enters and lands on a perch positioned beneath the opening. The door has a fluorescent orange sticker affixed to it so you can tell when the door is closed. The opening in the trap measures 1.25 inches, which is a perfect size for sparrows. Overall trap dimensions are 9 "H x 5 "W x 5.5”"D, and each one includes a mounting bracket and detailed instructions.

Sparrow Treat Seed Bait consists of millet (white and/or red mixture) which has been found to be preferential to house sparrows. This is the recommended bait to use when deploying Sparrow Sleds in “big box” stores. You can use a couple of pieces of white bread for EYE APPEAL to enhance the baiting program, but you should be using millet as your primary bait when your target is house sparrows.
